Deedra Simmons

Deedra Simmons began her career in the clean energy sector in 2013 at SolarCity, later moving to Tesla, where she ascended through progressively senior roles to ultimately serve as a Regional Sales Manager. During her tenure, she built a strong foundation in renewable energy sales, customer engagement, and market development, all crucial for promoting clean transportation.


She later transitioned into the electric vehicle charging space with EVgo, where she focused on site acquisition and commercial partnerships as a Portfolio Account Executive. In this role, Deedra collaborated with nationally recognized brands such as Target, Wawa, and JPMorgan Chase, further expanding her expertise in large-scale EV infrastructure deployment. Her efforts not only supported the business but also contributed to community empowerment through enhanced electric vehicle access.


Most recently, Deedra served as Director of Business Development at Citizen Energy, leading strategic growth initiatives for EV charging infrastructure in multifamily and community-serving locations. Her work encompassed partnership development, market strategy, and project origination, ultimately striving for equitable energy access and supporting the expansion of clean transportation solutions. Driven by a deep commitment to sustainability and energy equity, Deedra brings more than a decade of industry experience to her work. She firmly believes in the responsibility to act boldly in addressing climate challenges and lives by the motto, 'There is no Planet B.'

Libby Bittman

Libby Bittman brings over a decade of experience in clean transportation, renewable energy, and electric mobility, with a career that includes leadership roles at SolarCity, Tesla, ChargePoint, Palmetto, and ChargeLab. Through these positions, she has developed deep expertise in sales strategy, business development, and go-to-market execution within the clean energy ecosystem, all of which contribute to community empowerment and equitable energy access.


Currently, Libby leads business development for the EV and Mobility team at WEX, where she manages high-impact relationships across federal and commercial sectors and oversees strategic partnerships that support the evolving energy transition. Her work focuses on aligning emerging technologies, policy, and market needs to drive scalable adoption of EV solutions that enhance clean transportation.


At Electrify Equity, Libby plays a critical role in organizational strategy, advising on program development, partnerships, and long-term growth to ensure the organization’s initiatives are impactful and sustainable. She is deeply passionate about bringing the EV space to life and sharing that enthusiasm with others, particularly in ways that expand access and opportunity across communities.

Arthur Summerville

Arthur T. Summerville III is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in clean energy, medical technology, and business consulting. As Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder of Woundwise and WoundPic, he oversees medical distribution and consulting operations that support healthcare clients across the U.S., Colombia, the Middle East, and West Africa. Arthur also serves as Chief Revenue Officer at Iceberg Sustainable, where he has played a crucial role in securing $5 million in federal funding to advance waste-to-green energy solutions, further promoting clean transportation initiatives. His expertise extends to the hydrogen industry, where he has contributed to innovative projects driving sustainable energy adoption and ensuring equitable energy access for all communities. 


With a career that includes senior management roles at The Blackstone Group, Jani-King Franchises, and GSK, Arthur has a proven track record in scaling businesses and fostering innovation. He holds a B.S. in Computer Communication Technology with a minor in Business Administration from North Carolina A&T State University and an M.S. in Imaging Science Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. As a valued board member of Electrify Equity, Arthur’s diverse expertise supports the organization’s mission to advance equitable electrification and empower underserved communities.

Erica Privott

Erica Privott is a seasoned DEI, Recruitment, and Early Career Coaching Professional with over two decades of experience in non-profit and academic institutions. Her extensive background includes roles at Thrive Scholars, Loyola Marymount University, and the University of La Verne, where she has consistently demonstrated her expertise in career coaching, program development, and fostering inclusive environments that promote community empowerment for students and professionals alike.  


With a passion for empowering the next generation of leaders, Erica has excelled in designing and implementing comprehensive career development programs, particularly in STEM fields, while advocating for equitable energy access. Her skills in curriculum development, event management, and strategic partnerships have made her an invaluable asset in bridging the gap between education and the clean transportation industry. Erica's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, combined with her creative approach to problem-solving, makes her a dynamic addition to our board.

Jasmine Hicks

Jasmine Hicks is a community engagement strategist with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of clean energy, economic opportunity, and community empowerment. She has collaborated with nonprofits, public agencies, and community organizations to enhance equitable energy access for historically underserved communities. Additionally, she served as a Policy and Advocacy Fellow with Solar United Neighbors, where she supported policies that promote equitable energy access and distributed solar initiatives.


Currently, she is the Community Outreach Director for Electrify Equity, where she connects residents, workforce partners, and local organizations to resources for energy efficiency, clean transportation opportunities, and workforce pathways in the expanding clean energy economy.

Fadey Haddad

Fadey Haddad, Director of Strategy and Development at Techflow Inc since July 2022, brings extensive experience across sales development, marketing engineering, construction, operations, and finance in various sectors including industrial, commercial, and renewable energy. He leads clean transportation initiatives and renewable energy resiliency projects for Techflow’s DoD customers, prioritizing community empowerment and equitable energy access. 


Prior roles include leadership positions at Fortune 50 companies such as Tesla, Walmart, EVgo, and AT&T. Fadey holds a B.A in Business Management from Lindenwood University, St. Louis, MO.

Brooke Smallwood

Brooke Smallwood is a renowned expert in designing and managing innovative utility programs, including energy efficiency, clean transportation, electric vehicle (EV), and distributed energy resource (DER) initiatives for organizations such as Pepco, Delmarva Power, and Southern Company. With extensive experience in community empowerment, Brooke has also held management positions with global companies like Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, JCI, and AECOM.


In 2023, Brooke founded OASIS Energy Partners (OASIS EP), a pioneering firm dedicated to revolutionizing the energy industry and promoting equitable energy access. Guided by principles of equity, diversity, and justice, OASIS EP is forging new pathways to a clean energy future.
